Description:

On the morning of January 30th, Classes VI-XI gathered for a special assembly organised by the students of Class XI to observe Martyrs’ Day. The event was a poignant reminder of the price of the freedom we enjoy today, honouring those who laid down their lives for the sovereignty and spirit of India.

The assembly commenced with a historical overview of the significance of this day, marking the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. To bring history to life, students performed a powerful skit depicting the final day of the Mahatma. The performance highlighted his unwavering commitment to Ahimsa and Satyagraha.

The tribute extended beyond the independence era to honour the brave hearts of modern India. The students paid moving homages to Captain Vikram Batra, the “Sher Shah" of the Kargil War, Sepoy Mudavath Murali Naik, recognised for his supreme sacrifice in the line of duty, representing the grit of our infantry and Lt. Cdr. Kiran Shekhawat, the first woman naval officer to die in the line of duty, serving as a beacon of courage and breaking barriers for women in the armed forces.

The emotional core of the morning was a soul-stirring performance by the Indian Music Choir. Their patriotic song, filled with themes of sacrifice and love for the motherland, resonated through the auditorium, leaving many in the audience visibly moved.

The assembly concluded with a powerful address by our Principal, Mrs MN Arul Raj. The speech emphasized that remembering our national heroes is not merely a ritual, but a responsibility.
