Diwali is not merely a festival of lights, but a celebration of compassion, warmth, and togetherness. To honor the true spirit of the season, Somerville School, NOIDA hosted a special ‘Light a Smile’ Diwali assembly on 6th November 2026 for the Middle and Senior School sections.

Through thought-provoking speeches, expressive presentations, and uplifting performances, students conveyed a poignant message on the significance of empathy, generosity, and sharing during festivities. The assembly served as a reminder that the brightness of Diwali lies not in crackers or luxury, but in extending a helping hand to those around us and lighting up lives with simple acts of kindness.

Embodying these core values, the school community expressed heartfelt gratitude to the pillars of our daily school life, our drivers, conductors, support staff, gardeners, and housekeeping staff. Token gifts and sweets were presented to them by the students, recognising their tireless service and dedication.

The assembly left everyone with a warm heart and a renewed promise to make society brighter by sharing our blessings, spreading joy, and truly bringing light to every smile.
